As it stands the projects is well underway in its design and the long awaited meeting with Mr Disley is fast approaching. After a few discussions with Tim we came to the conclusion that the workshops should have a more common input into the building of the 'hs', the idea intially was too diverse and made the project too costly. The issue I had was simple, I did not want all of the 'hs' to be the same.
Working with schools and local community groups means that we can take input fom a diverse range of people and it is these differences that ,make this project so unique. The marvellous plan is to get participants to make a tile that will be fixed to the 'hs' rather than making each h individual.. Their design will be made and transferred onto the h making up a large part of the wall.
I am arranging a meeting with local pottery artist Peter Fisher for a discussion about the types of clay we should use and what sort of time frame we could expect it to last.
Stay tuned for some models and drawings!
